Built for Apple Silicon, not ported to it
QuickCompress is a native macOS app for Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or later, macOS 13+). It uses the Mac's hardware video encoder directly, so compression is fast without spinning up the fans. It runs entirely on your machine: your video is never uploaded anywhere to be processed.
Outcome-first, not settings-first
Instead of choosing a codec, container, and bitrate manually, you tell QuickCompress what you want: a smaller file, or a file under an exact size. It works out the encoding settings needed to get there. For people who want manual control over every encoder parameter, a tool like HandBrake (see QuickCompress vs HandBrake) is the better fit. For everyone else, QuickCompress removes that decision entirely.
Own it once
QuickCompress is a one-time $39 Early Bird purchase. It's not a subscription, and not a metered per-file cloud service like CloudConvert. The license is a lifetime license, active on one Mac at a time, transferable if you get a new machine.
